Feeling Rosey

One of my favorite places in the world is the Napa Valley.  I only lived there for a short time, but it feels like home to me.  I go back at least once a year to recharge my spirit.  Each time,  I have to make at least one trip to the Ferry Building in San Francisco.  At the Ferry Building you will find the most amazing restaurants, shops and farmers markets.

I love to go to the McEvoy Ranch retail shop.  I had the privilege of visiting the McEvoy Ranch many years ago to pick olives and learn about their methods. If you ever have the opportunity to visit, I highly recommend it.  The 80 acre ranch in Petaluma, California is spectacular.  They make award winning organic olive oil and other estate-cultivated products.

One of my favorite items is their body care line.  They make scrubs, body washes, lotions, img_2256body butters and perfume oils. The Blood Orange scent was my favorite until they recently released the Bohemian Rose line of products.

The entire body care line is free of sulfates, parabens and phthalates and is never tested on animals. The packaging is recyclable and BPA-free. The products are locally made and handcrafted in small batches with organic ingredients when possible.

I use the body balm in the shower.  It is made with organic olive and jojoba oils, shea butter, beeswax and vitamin E. It has the most wonderful texture…like velvet on your skin. It is very silky.

I am very sensitive to smells and don’t like strong, perfume smells.  I find many rose-scented products too heavy or artificial smelling.  This has a lovely, light scent that smells like an actual rose.  That being said, I find the Verde line of products to be too strong for my taste.

If you are looking for a body moisturizer, I highly recommend the 80 Acres body balm.  Whether you choose rose, lavender or blood orange scent, it will leave your skin silky, smooth!
